Three Gowns for One Dress

Crystal Couture style 7280 had the perfect bodice
Dani came to our store the other day with a photo of her dream dress. It was from a Chinese fake dress site and we had no idea who the original designer was.  Her consultant at The Gallery by Lynette showed her several of our gowns but she couldn't get her mind off the dress in the picture.  Frustration was setting in and certain disappointment.
Crystal Couture style 3820 had the exact skirt.

I studied the picture and headed for my gown room.  I spied a Crystal Couture gown style 3820 that had the exact skirt.  I then showed her my Crystal Couture style 7280 which had the perfect body and finally I showed her a gown that had the embroidery pattern she wanted.  I will instruct my factory on the bead and crystals for the applique and Dani will have the gown she loves for her perfect day.

Before you buy a cookie cutter wedding dress that hundreds of girls have worn and thousands of people have seen, you owe it to yourself to call today for your free gown consultation.  801-773-7435 or see us online at www.lynettes.com.  You will be glad you did.

The Fab Five

Empire: RD1044 by Maggie Sottero

So many times when a bride enters a typical bridal shop she looks at the gowns on display mannequins and then begins rifling through the racks.  Her entourage fans out like ants calling the bride’s attention to their favorites and insisting she try them on even if she really isn't interested.  It is a big mistake to shop in this way because it will make you even more confused.

There is a fail proof system to shopping for your perfect wedding gown.

You are going to need help to determine which of the fab 5 looks best on your body.  There are only 5 cuts, or silhouettes of wedding gowns.  If you don't already know which silhouette is best for you, your personal consultant can show you gowns in your size in each silhouette for you to try on.

Sheath: Alexa by Maggie Sottero
1: The sheath is a fitted body that falls straight from your hips to the floor.
2: The mermaid fits to your mid or lower thighs and flares out from there.  Trumpet and mermaids are names you will hear in this category.
3: A ball gown has a tight fitted bodice and a waistline that is either at the natural waist or fitted as far as the widest part of your hips. The skirt can be gathered, pleated or circular where it attaches to the bodice and is usually quite full at the hem.  This style creates a curvy silhouette.
Ball Gown: Priscilla by Maggie Sottero
4: The empire cut has a seam or detail directly under the bust and falls from that seam.  Empire cut is not usually fitted below the bust.  Some gowns in other categories will have an empire detail.
5: The A line gown is fitted in the bodice and follows the curves of the body to the waist and gradually flares out from the waist.  There is not usually a distinct horizontal seam line on the bodice.  Princess seams usually extend vertically from the bust through the hem of the skirt.  This is a good style to balance your figure.
Mermaid: Symphony by Maggie Sottero

There are some who say if you have one shape of body you should wear a certain cut but after my 30 years in as a bridal designer and retailer I have found that any girl can wear just about any cut as long as it is proportioned to her body. Re proportioning of a silhouette that is not your best may not be possible unless you work with a designer and have your gown customized which is available exclusively at The Gallery by Lynette.  The proof is in the mirror.  If you are in love with the dress you have on and can see yourself being married in this dress then your shopping is finished.

A Line: Geneva by Maggie Sottero
Over shopping comes when you have already found a great bridal salon with gowns that match your style and budget, and a bridal consultant who you feel has your best interests at heart and you continue going from shop to shop in search of a dress instead of the total package of dress, alterations, security knowing no matter what you need, the shop you choose should cover your needs right up to the time you bring your gown back for cleaning and preservation after your wedding.  Not all stores consider the bride’s happiness as their number one mission.  When you run nilly willy to every store you risk being “sold” the wrong gown or left out in the cold if a problem arises. .  Stay in the store where you feel comfortable and work with your consultant to find your perfect gown.  At The Gallery by Lynette we have literally hundreds of gowns, including the ones shown above, and can customize any aspect including changing fabrics, mixing bodices and skirts and most often your perfect gown can be patterned and made in one of our two overseas factories just for you.  We also offer exclusive lines from Madeline Gardner,  Crystal Bridal Couture, Jaarda Victoria as well as being a premiere salon for Maggie Sottero.

Gown Shopping Experience

So many of you say that when you shop other stores you don't feel special
Your Groom will be well taken care of at The Gallery by Lynette
So many of you tell us that you don't feel special when you are gown shopping.  We see some that actually run in with minutes to spare to see what we have.  We cannot possibly get to know you and connect with you with the pressure of a moment or two.  No wonder you tell us how stressful the shopping experience is.  As many of you know The Gallery by Lynette will soon be moving to our new salon.  We have been dressing brides, grooms and their families for more than 30 years.  Our new store will offer private suites where you can relax, be pampered and shop on your schedule, without outside distractions in an environment designed around the needs of you, our client. Receive a pair of genuine pearl stud earrings valued at $50 at no cost simply by mentioning this when you come for your first appointment.  Limit one pair per bride.

Your groom can also come in and in another "man cave" style area he can feel comfortable as he selects what he and the men in your wedding party will wear.  Our bridal and tuxedo specialists will coordinate and orchestrate all the attire perfectly.  No more "hiding" from the groom so he won't see your gown if he comes with you.  You will both be so well taken care of that you will feel like royalty.  We even have a place for your family and friends to relax while they await your entrance in your wedding gown. (Although we love children they get bored easily.  For the comfort and privacy of you and all of our guests we ask that you leave children at home)

Our accessory suite is filled with so many beautiful veils, headpieces, necklaces and more.  Sparkle and pearls, fluff and feathers.  The perfect compliments to the gown of your choice.

There is absolutely no need for nervousness or tribulation because it's all about you and making your bridal attire selection seamless.  Our finishing department is about making your gown fit you perfectly and pressing it in preparation of your photo session or wedding day.  We even offer gown cleaning services and heir-looming, cleaning and boxing, for after the big day.

Be sure to call or stop by to make your appointment.  We don't have an online appointment app because we feel that you should always talk to a human no matter when it is.  Call 801-773-7435

What Silhouette Will You Choose?

What an honor it was to meet so many of you at the Bridal Show recently.  To see the excitement and love in your faces and also the fear as we talked about how so many of you are already in crunch time to get your wedding gown purchased.  A recent article that I read by industry expert Christine Boulton stated that the most terrifying part of wedding planning is gown shopping.  I can certainly believe that considering all the misinformation and opposing "facts" you as a consumer are being fed.  At no other time in history has there been so many "Industry Experts" who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.  I belong to a group of very high profile real industry experts who have literally exposed lies and falsehoods of many who have offered their services and been successful at cheating hard working, honest people from loads of time and money.   As I have seen wedding dressing go from "find a trusted, experienced salon to help you" to the corporate blasting and internet snake oil sellers it is difficult to tell the sheep from the wolves.  I am a third generation bridal and formal wear designer and retailer.  I own my own design company and sell my gowns wholesale and retail.  I have two overseas factories that I visit who make my gowns and a Fashion Institute Designer leads our alterations/design department in our store.

As I visited with many of you I could feel your anxiety because you have already begun shopping but given up because you were mis treated, made to feel that your figure is less than perfect or felt overwhelmed by the need to shop so many stores, hunt for the right dress with little or no help and have yet to find anyone who even acted like they cared or knew anything about the process of finding a once in a life time dress.

One bride with tears in her eyes touched my arm and expressed how glad she felt that we met.  You are truly beautiful.  Your body was made by the hand of God and we are going to find you a gown that makes you feel like the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth.  When he sees you on your wedding day beaming and happy, he will know that this day is about the two of you and nothing is going to spoil that.  Your guests, your family and your pictures will see a timeless gown on the one they love and wish only the best.

Give us a call today and set up your free consultation to begin your wedding day journey.
